Meet Superintendent Adams

Ms. Adams has nearly 23 years experience in education. She began her career in education as a secondary math teacher in Scotia-Glenville, Waterford, and then Ballston Spa. She has held administrative positions in Gloversville ESD, and Hoosic Valley CSD. Ms. Adams has been with Salem CSD since July 2019, serving as the Jr./Sr. High School Principal. Prior to entering the education field she was a store manager for Hannaford. Ms. Adams is a graduate of the University at Albany, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics and Minor in Business; a Master’s of Science in Education from Sage Graduate School; and she holds Certificates in Advanced Study in School Building and School District Leadership from College of St. Rose. Having served the district for the past three years, she said the sense of community and pride in the school is inspiring. One of her many goals for the upcoming school year is to get to know all members of the school community, and to learn what is going well, and what needs to be improved to continue moving Salem’s students forward to prepare them for their future. Ms. Adams lives with her fiance Rich, and their cat, Minnie. They split their time between their home in Troy and their camp at Lake Lauderdale. Their favorite time of year is the camping season, when they can spend time outdoors in this beautiful area. Ms. Adams also enjoys gardening, traveling whenever possible, and spending time with their three sons Luke, Owen, Richie, and their extended family.
