Students in Mrs. Maxwell’s Animal Science class trained and studied fancy mice in an effort to learn about mouse behavior and implement positive reinforcement training methods.

This was an eight-week experiment that began in early March. Students worked in pairs to provide daily care, enrichment, and perform a series of over 10 experiments and obstacles.

At the end of the unit, students chose to take their mouse home, find a friend to take the mouse home or leave in the classroom.
