Medical Excuses In the event your child has a medical condition which requires a note for physical education it is very helpful if the doctor could provide information as to what activities, if any, the child CAN participate in. Frequently, notes simply say "NO PE". A note that indicates this does not allow me to have the student participate physically in any capacity and I will have to provide worksheets for the student to complete. |
Proper Attire for PE ATHLETIC SNEAKERS (usually having a raised arch support and laces) Students will not be allowed to participate if wearing sandals, flip flops, dress shoes,.... CLOTHING (should
allow for free and easy movement.) Skirts and dresses are not
appropriate. Students are encouraged not to wear their best clothes on
PE days as they may get dirty or stained. |
PHILOSOPHY EXERCISE SMART: Students need to learn the correct techniques and methods for attaining and maintaining physical fitness. EAT SMART: Students need to learn how to determine which foods are healthy/unhealthy. Students need to choose healthy foods. LIVE SMART: Students need to learn how to make healthy choices as they relate to personal safety, life style,…. Through instruction during physical education class it is our goal that every student will discover the importance of fitness and healthy lifestyle choices. Further, it is hoped that students will discover various activities that they enjoy that will aid them in attaining and maintaining fitness NOW, LATER, and for a LIFETIME. |
