Students will research and create a presentation that focuses on an engineering field of choice.

Students design a protective case for sensitive electronic device, such as an MP3 player, using Solid Works. Solid Works is a 3D CAD program that is new to the technology department this year.

Students are generating a CNC program to mill their protective case using MasterCAM for Solid Works. MasterCAM is a new computer assisted manufacturing program.

Teams of students build and test a trebuchet catapult to compete against each other in accuracy and distance competitions.

Students use electric motors, gears, Balsa wood, and wheels/axles to build a model tractor pull vehicle. The students will individually compete against one another in a pulling competition.
