Salem Central School’s elementary grades 3-6 recently held elections for student council.  The classes voted for classmates who would best represent them during the school year.  Student council meets on a regular basis after school to work on many different projects.  This organization works on the recycling project, UNICEF, raising money for Salem Santa Project and many other charitable events.  The student council members promote school spirit as well as learning cooperation, dependability and responsibility.  This year’s 3rd grade representatives are Brady Nichols, Philip Rea, Mikayah Rushinski and Nicholas Falk.  Fourth grade has chosen Bailey Fifield, Elyse Gerber, Hailey Anderson and Sara McCue as their representatives.  Fifth grade representation will be Zac Cummings, Lucy Fronhofer, Tyler Lathrop and Carly McPhee.  Rounding out Student Council will be 6th grade students Channa Goldman, Jessica DeJesus, Savanna Cary and Andrew Gilbert.  The members of the student council are excited to have been chosen for this prestigious honor.  Elementary Student Council Advisors are Ms. Tina Luke and Mrs. Mary Kruchinski.
