The Board Of Education is comprised of five unsalaried citizens elected to serve overlapping terms of five years each. At the end of a term, a board member wishing to continue his/her public service to the community must be re-elected. The Salem Central Board Of Education meets on the third Wednesday of each month unless otherwise designated and announced in the local newspapers. The meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria and residents are encouraged to attend.
