Message from the Superintendent - Two New Positive COVID-19 Cases

March 31,  2021

The district has learned that two individuals in the high school tested positive for COVID-19. Both individuals testing positive were last in the school building on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

The individuals are now in quarantine and will have to be cleared by the Washington County Department of Health before returning to school. Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

The district is currently assisting the Washington County Department of Health with contact tracing efforts using logs and attendance records. There is no impact on in-person instruction, as our 7-12 students are already learning remotely throughout this week.

The district has been following all the proper protocols for daily temperature checks, physical distancing, mask wearing, and hand washing, but as an added measure of precaution, please monitor your child(ren) for any symptoms of COVID, which can be found on the CDC website.

If you would like information about testing procedures, please call Washington County Public Health at (518) 747-7520.
