Message from the Superintendent - New Positive COVID-19 Case

April 15, 2021

The district has learned that an individual in the high school tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, three other high school students are in quarantine.

The individual testing positive and the three in quarantine will have to be cleared by the Washington County Department of Health before returning to school. Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive. There is no impact on in-person instruction.

The district has been following all the proper protocols for daily temperature checks, physical distancing, mask wearing, and hand washing, but as an added measure of precaution, please monitor your child(ren) for any symptoms of COVID, which can be found on the CDC website.

If you would like information about testing procedures, please call Washington County Public Health at (518) 747-7520.
