Another successful year for our Salem Mock Trial

This year there were over 20 members including understudies participating on the Salem Mock Trial team. The NY Bar Association released a criminal arson case to be prepared and tried by the team. Two trials were held at the Historic Salem Courthouse this year giving us "home games". The Warren-Washington County competition was made up of six teams including Salem, Greenwich, Lake George, Hudson Falls, Glens Falls and Queensbury. Salem ended the season with a 3-2 record, losing in the finals to Greenwich in the "closest possible" outcome to quote the presiding judge. The team is led by their advisor Mrs. Vicki Perkins and assisted by their attorney advisor Mr. Edward Pontacoloni, a retired defense attorney. Also assisting this year was Salem Mock Trial alum Tessa Georgeson. Salem started Mock Trial in 2013 making this the 12th year they have competed.
