Salem Jr/Sr High School senior Trudy Keith has been selected by the school’s staff and students as this year’s Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen, an honor that recognizes students who exemplify leadership, service, and integrity.
Each year, Salem Central School staff and students vote to select one member of the graduating class who best represents the qualities of good citizenship. Sponsored by the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the DAR Good Citizen Program celebrates seniors who demonstrate dependability, responsibility, and a commitment to their school and community.
Throughout all four years of high school, Trudy has been actively involved in a wide range of activities, including the school play, track, mock trial, student council, band, chorus, and backstage work with younger students for the sixth-grade play. In her senior year, she also joined the field hockey team, further expanding her involvement in school life.
In addition to her impressive extracurricular commitment, Trudy challenges herself academically and has earned outstanding marks in the classroom. Her ability to balance rigorous coursework with meaningful participation in school activities reflects the very qualities the DAR Good Citizen award was designed to honor.
Trudy Keith’s dedication, leadership, and positive influence make her a fitting choice for this recognition, and Salem Central School is proud to celebrate her achievement.
