Students in grades 3rd through 12th are invited to hit the slopes with the Salem Ski Club at Willard Mountain! The six-week club will meet on Fridays from January 8 through February 12, giving students an opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy time on the mountain with their friends.
Ski Club registration forms are available in the elementary and high school offices. Completed registration forms and payments must be returned to Ski Club advisor Tuesday Grey by Tuesday, November 24. Parents/guardians and students are also encouraged to join the Salem Ski Club group on ParentSquare to receive club news, updates, and reminders.
For club members, buses to Willard Mountain will depart from the Salem Central School bus garage side between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. Lessons will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Buses will return to the bus garage side between 8 and 8:30 p.m.
Helmets are strictly required for all participants. They can be rented at Willard Mountain for $30 or purchased at the lodge.
Ski Club is a great way for students to develop perseverance, goal-setting, and teamwork skills while learning or improving their skiing and snowboarding. Club members will also have the opportunity to challenge themselves, make new friends, and build lasting memories outside the classroom!
Additional questions about the club can be directed to this year’s advisor, Tuesday Grey, via email at tgrey@salemcsd.org. We hope to see you on the slopes!
